This Privacy Policy explains how Sorsa-TwitterScout Point (“we”, “our”, “the Tool”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our Chrome extension on x.com / twitter.com.

Summary

• The Extension helps you view Sorsa scores, TwitterScore points, and analyze follower lists on X (Twitter).
• The Extension runs only when you grant access and primarily interacts with the active tab.
• To display scores, the extension fetches public profile data and communicates with our backend.
• We do not collect your X/Twitter password, do not access your private messages (DMs), and do not sell your personal data.
• Minimal diagnostic data (e.g., timestamps, error codes) may be processed for reliability and security.

Information we collect / process

1) User-provided content

• Settings and score thresholds you configure in the Extension's popup.
• Search queries or handles you explicitly type into the tools section.

2) Public page context (X/Twitter)

• Publicly visible handles (usernames), follower counts, and following counts encountered on X/Twitter to display relevant scores.
• Public tags and metadata associated with profiles (specifically from Sorsa.io).

We do not access your private messages (DMs) or any non-public account information.

3) Local extension storage

• Your preferred color ranges, display settings, and authentication tokens are stored locally via chrome.storage.

4) Account & Authentication

• Email address (used solely to identify your account and trial status).
• Auth/session tokens (to manage your login session securely).
• Access duration and credit status (to provide premium features).

Permissions & Why they are needed

• storage: To save your configuration and login session locally.
• activeTab: To interact with the specific Twitter page you are currently viewing.
• scripting: To securely inject the UI elements (badges) into the page.
• Host Permission: https://us-central1-point-5f8e2.cloudfunctions.net/* — To communicate with our secure backend for authentication and settings sync.
• Optional Host Permissions: *://*.twitter.com/*, *://*.x.com/*, https://app.sorsa.io/*, and https://twitterscore.io/* — Requested only when needed to fetch and display scores on those platforms.

Third-party services & Sharing

We share data only as necessary to provide the features of the Extension. We do not sell data to advertisers.

• Backend API (Google Cloud / Firebase)
  Used for authentication, managing trial/premium access, and syncing your color preferences.
• Data Providers (Sorsa.io & TwitterScore.io)
  The extension fetches publicly available scores from these platforms to display them to you. No private account data is shared with them by the Extension.

Data retention

• Local data: Stored on your device until you clear extension data or uninstall.
• Account data: Retained only as long as your account is active to manage your subscription.
• Logs: Minimal operational logs for troubleshooting are rotated/deleted every 30 days.
